That meant more shopping, including looking at lots of things and actually getting a storm door. It's pretty simple, but better than what we have--and its white.
We checked the cabinet handles we'd chosen with the cabinets we'd chosen and are happy with them:
We also spent a lot of time packing up food and seldom-used appliances and dishes to clear space. The pre-fab pantry that's older than Travis was finally laid to rest.
We then started tearing up the linoleum in the kitchen. That was exhausting--think I'll sleep well tonight! Luckily we'd picked up a heat gun, which was helpful.
The owner of the company doing our exterior work stopped by to see how things are going and to check on our roof/chimney issue. He said the siding/cladding/trim should be done in two days so they can send out the gutter people. He also informed us that our leaking roof is not a chimney issue per se, and therefore not easily fixable. Apparently the company that did our addition should not have left such a small pitch (it's 1, if that means anything to anyone reading) and the way to fix it is to replace it with a rubber roof. Sigh. More $$$ and not exactly a fun thing to have to do as an add-on. On the other hand, this should stop the continuous water leaking in and damaging the hallway and our bedroom window.
